- Project
- Penn Yan, NY
System Size: 31.93 kW
Installation Type: Roof Mount
Installation Date: Fall 2021
Location: Penn Yan, New York
Annual Environmental Offset: 24.8 tons of CO2 or offsetting 386 trees
Located in Penn Yann, NY right next to the Keuka Lake sits YMCA Camp Cory. As a non-profit organization, every dollar counts. That is why the camp partnered with Everybody Solar to bring solar to the camp. The camp leadership and Everybody Solar, an organization that helps nonprofits invest in solar, worked together to select Paradise Energy Solutions as their installation partner.
The 31 solar panels installed on the camp's dining hall roof will save the camp $4,000 in the first year alone. "This solar array gives us the ability to financially support children that come to camp, while also helping to minimize our carbon footprint," said Pat Foster, Executive Director of YMCA Camp Cory.
The solar system will produce enough clean energy to offset the use of 54 barrels of oil or save 386 trees each year
